This month we are excited to be featured as #1 in the Shopify Checkout Products section, release the highly anticipated customer donations feature, get to 66 brands on Pledger and have Westen MacIntosh join us as the CMO.

To add, Pledger investment round is now officially open and we look forward to speaking with some of you in the coming days.

📢 Shout Outs

Shout out to Pledger team for being great at tackling and resolving big challenges. We are moving quickly and seeing on-going progress in areas of growth and product development - all thanks to our team.

🏆 Achievements
  1. Customer Donations product + getting featured on Shopify - the product enables shoppers to make an impact from their purchase by giving to causes post purchase. This has been the most requested feature by our merchant community. Stores waiting on this feature include the Barbican Shop, VeloVixen, Plant Organic and more. We used the latest Shopify Checkout API in building this feature.


There are ~6,000 Shopify Apps so its awesome to come out as front page in the Shopify App marketplace and appear as #1 in the Featured Checkout Products section, as well as already ranking #1 for 'Charity' search term.

2.We are on track with our growth targets with 66 brands now on Pledger App.

Huge welcome to Westen MacIntosh who joined us as the CMO - Westen spent 6+ years in Environmental Consulting, Co-Founded a SaaS business and more recently lead growth at Hero Sustainability App.
As well as being great at what he does, he has adopted multiple cats and holds an amateur white belt BJJ record of 1-1.

🖥 Product

With the highly requested Customer Donations feature now rolled out we are now focusing on scaling the Cause eco-system and getting ready to add service fees to the product.

🎯 Strategy

A major blocker for us has been time it takes to on-board new Cause partners - we have made breakthrough progress in our strategy for scaling this area. More in my next update.

💰 Financials

Pledger seed round is now open! We are speaking to investors across UK, NZ, USA and Europe. Demand for ethical consiouse retail is growing exponentially with Gen Z and Millennial consumers being x4+ more likely to shop with brands that give back. Pledger is at the forefront of transforming retail by making it easy for brands to incorporate social impact into their business and enabling shoppers to purchase from brands that align with their values. 📈 KPIs

We are on track will all 2021 KPIs. Currently 4+ Cause partners joining a month, 4+ app installs per week, 2+ brands going live per week.
