Thanks to Carnegie Mellon University and Jenn from Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission
Completed another week of Startup Boost. Pittsburgh 21S. Got great clarity on our product. Workforce and using Community colleges to train students on Career Technical Education (CTE) path. Spoke with potential partners and got exciting feedback. Attended a partner event that validates our market approach.
Video game demo is here. https://youtu.be/hVmCgXmpQcA
Need help with reviewing our application for Comcast Lift Labs due May 12th
We finally finished a demo of our inspirational mobile video game for STEAM and conducted our first playtest with students. We submitted the game to the Android store for open testing
Mitigate the lack of funding by using talent investment and strategic partnerships to grow value in company. The strategy has worked we have a viable workforce product with high quality education that is culturally relevant.
Getting our messaging has been a challenge as has been getting people to see its not a non profit but a viable enterprise that targets the largest segment of students they just happen to be diverse and disadvantaged. Working several iterations of proposals, applications and decks for sponsorship.
Going to submit a grant for $50,000 on Monday that should help with funding some product development. Heard about a new funding opportunity coming soon. Also looking into other nondilutive funding sources to build our 2 way marketplace for students. Sponsorships and grants are non dilutive way's to fund our enterprise. Accelerators pose opportunity for money and infrastructure to launch at scale. With a mobile game and accompanying curriculum that can be delivered virtually we have a viable commercialization vision just need to fund further development and distribution.
